Miami, FL, 6 December 2023 — Caribbean businesses must both adapt and evolve if they are to survive the turbulence of today’s technology-driven marketplace. This was the view of Ade Adefulu, the Global Head of Enterprise Sales Strategy & Operations at Marketing Solutions at Global Tech Giant LinkedIn.
Adefulu delivered the feature address at the Business Forum of the Connected Caribbean Summit, on the subject, “Business in the Age of Disruptive Change: Surviving Turbulence, Leading Transformation.”
He emphasized the transformative potential of AI and other disruptive technologies, urging business leaders to not only adapt but also leverage these innovations for strategic growth. He discussed practical approaches to survive turbulence, foster innovation, and position businesses for success in the dynamic, technology-driven marketplace.
“Navigating the complex landscape of challenges and opportunities stemming from the advent of artificial intelligence (AI) and other disruptive technologies requires business leaders to have a nuanced understanding of the implications of the profound shifts taking place not only in the business realm, but in wider society. This is necessary to plot a strategic roadmap for businesses to not only survive but thrive and effectively lead in an era defined by constant disruption.” Adefulu shared.
As the region grapples with the challenges and opportunities presented by disruptive technologies, Adefulu’s presentation emphasized actionable strategies and outlined concrete steps Caribbean businesses leaders can adopt to reshape operations and rethink customer service.
The LinkedIn executive’s insights resonated with summit attendees, sparking discussions on the role of technology in driving business evolution and the need for strategic leadership in times of disruption. Adefulu’s address provided a roadmap for Caribbean business leaders to embrace change, stay competitive, and proactively lead their organizations through transformation.
Petipha Lewis, co-host of the Summit and chair of CARICHAM, the Network of Caribbean Chambers of Commerce, commended Adefulu for his insights.
“I am hopeful that the momentum gained from Adefulu’s address will propel the Caribbean business community into a future where greater resilience, adaptability, collaboration and leadership define success in this time of disruptive change,” she stated.
Lewis charged delegates at the event to remain committed to fostering the spirit of innovation and collaboration, ensuring a united front as the region navigates the challenges of the digital era.
