Building Regional Capacity
Implementing and sustaining programmes that deliver relevant educational content to justice stakeholders are therefore vital to the development of the Justice Sector. CAJS supports a series of initiatives and outreach to academia and the private sector to:
- establish a framework to increase inter-regional cooperation in areas related to the development of competencies and digital skills relevant to the increased adoption of technology in the justice sector;
- raise public awareness of, build capacity for, and foster the increased understanding of the role of technology in the evolving legal profession;
- design and deliver technology-enabled services;
- support the provision of judicial education, training for legal professionals; and develop tools and technologies to support legal-aid; and
- encourage the application of the results of such cooperation for the benefit of the Caribbean.
