Miami, FL, 6 December 2023 — In a landmark move towards greater regional collaboration the heads of the Caribbean Agency for Justice Solutions (CAJS) and the Caribbean Telecommunications Union (CTU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote innovation, policy development, and capacity building in the region.

The signing ceremony took place on Wednesday 6th December 2023 at the Hilton Blue Lagoon in Miami, Florida, at the Connected Caribbean Summit. Central to the MOU is the shared vision of both organizations promoting technology-enabled approaches to public sector administration and service delivery.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Rodney Taylor, Secretary General of the CTU, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration’s potential impact on the region. “This partnership is a testament to our collective commitment to fostering positive change in the Caribbean. By combining the strengths of CTU and CAJS, we aim to foster innovation, enhance governance, and build capacities that will benefit our Member States.”

Bevil Wooding, Executive Director of the CAJS, echoed these sentiments, stating, “The MOU represents a shared vision for a more connected and efficient Caribbean. We look forward to leveraging our combined expertise to advance regional development.”
