A high-level delegation from the Caribbean Agency for Justice Solutions (CAJS) visited Belize to offer their expertise in the continued efforts to accelerate digital transformation in the Justice sector.
The delegation paid a courtesy visit to the chairman of Belize Bank, Mr. Lyndon Guiseppi, to discuss the integration of bank’s E-kyash platform with CAJS’s Curia Court Management Suite.
A presentation of the Aegis, a special purpose technology suite specifically designed to manage AG offices and ministries, was given by the CAJS’ Director of Legal Services, Theo Jones. The digitization of operations at the office of the Attorney General will be the next step of the digital innovation exercise, embarked on by the Government of Belize.
Also during the visit Mr. Richard Wall, CTO of CAJS, presented the AccessLegal platform to a group of legal professionals. The AccessLegal platform helps Legal Aid organizations to more efficiently identify volunteers, conduct community polls, orient and onboard lawyers, assign matters, monitor case statuses, and record outcomes and impact for lawyers.Speaking on the continued partnership with CAJS, Attorney General Magali Marin-Young stated “The implementation of Curia Court Management Suite has seen improved efficiency throughout the court system. We intend to continue in our drive to bring the people of Belize improved access to justice.”
